High Sheriffs Awards

The following have received High Sheriff’s Awards in 2012-2013.

  • Trish Kinsella, the Manager of the Scarborough Rainbow Centre, a voluntary sector project, for her dedicated work providing services for some of the most chaotic and vulnerable within the Borough of Scarborough.

  • Michael Bevington, for his volunteer fundraising work on behalf of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. With the support and help of his wife, Kathy, Michael has organized fundraising efforts around Nidderdale since 2008.

  • Street Angels, unpaid volunteers for their efforts in keeping Skipton streets safe each Saturday night.

  • Skipton Dream Scheme, an after school club for 8-11yrs old undertaking care in the community.

  • Margaret Curtis, for dedicated public service and bravery.

  • Linda Ventress, HM Courts & Tribunals Service.

  • Alan Martin, for dedicated public service and bravery.

  • Wendy Forsdyke, HM Courts & Tribunals Service.

  • Jonathan Towers, Under Sheriff of North Yorkshire 1987 – 2013, for service beyond the call of duty to 25 High Sheriff’s of North Yorkshire.
