The following have received High Sheriff’s Awards in 2020-21.

• Ted Docherty – In recognition of his outstanding effort in the support & development of Teesside Stroke Club and his tireless fundraising to improve the lives of local residents suffering the effects of strokes.
• Alison Grainger – In recognition of her dedication, community spirit & outstanding efforts to Hambleton Foodshare. Her willingness to go above & beyond the call of duty to ensure this vital service continues to operate despite the challenges it has faced during the pandemic of 2020.
• Robert Fox – In recognition of his dedication, community spirit & outstanding support to North Yorkshire Police as a volunteer, with his tireless efforts in assisting with the distribution of uniforms & PPE to frontline officers and staff across the force during the pandemic of 2020.
• Lysanne Copstake – In recognition of both her courageous personal challenge in overcoming addiction, and for her efforts in giving back to the community using her own experiences.  In addition, for her outstanding contribution to the recovery project of York and her voluntary work & fundraising at The City Hub.
